"OUR FATHER"

OUR FATHER
“Exploring the first two letters of the Hebrew Alphabet”

The Letter Aleph—The first letter of the Title Father.

Alef is the first letter in the Hebrew Alphabet and the First letter in the Hebrew word for Father.   As you worship Our Father and Sanctify His Holy Name take a moment to call out to Him the Words listed below.  Each of these words either describes who he is or one of his attributes that begin with the first letter of Father.

Av—Father, origin, God
Elohim—God, Judge
Adon—LORD, Master
Echad—One
Or—Light
Ahavah—Love
Aish—Fire
Adam--Man
Emunah—Faith, belief
Elefu—Master
Am—People/Nation
Elef—Thousand
Ivtach—Secure
Aviv—Springtime
Even—Stone, Rock
Even Pinah—Cornerstone, Foundation
Avnayim—Potters Wheel
Adnut—Rule, Authority
Ach—Brother
Ocha—Eagle
Amen—Amen
Immen—teach, train
Efes—Zero, nothing  (There is nothing, noone beside Him—He made all things from nothing, calling those things that were not as thought they are.)

The Letter Beit—The second letter of the Title Father
Beit means, “House, God’s dwelling place, Temple”

God’s dwelling place on earth became his Son—body.  This teaches us that the Spirit and the Body together make up the Title “Father.”  Colossians 2:6, “For in Him (Son—Body) dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.”  Furthermore, Yeshua said in John 14:9, “Have I been so long time with you, and yet have you not known me, Phillip? He that has seen me has seen the Father…“

God now dwells in believers, Jews and Gentiles.  Our bodies are the Temple of the Holy Ghost.  Therefore let us “Bless the LORD O My Soul and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name.  Forget not all His benefit that he bestows upon men.  For he is merciful and forgives our iniquities, and heals all of our diseases.”

Daily we offer our bodies to God as a living sacrifice, Holy and Acceptable to the LORD.

THE SHEMA (to be recited daily in Prayer)
Hear O Israel the LORD our God, the LORD is ONE and you shall love the LORD, your God, with all you heart, with all your soul and with all your resources.

Who is like You among the heavenly powers, Jesus!  Who is like you, mighty in holiness, too awesome for praise, doing wonders.  With a new song the redeemed ones praise your great Name at the seashore, all of them in unison gave thanks, acknowledged your sovereignty, and said, “Jesus shall reign for all eternity.”

Rock of Israel, arise to the aid of Israel and liberate, as You pledged, Judah and Israel.  And it is said, Our Redeemer---Jesus, Master of Legions, is Your Name—You are the Holy One of Israel.  Blessed are You, Jesus, who redeemed Israel.

My Lord, Open my lips, that my mouth may declare your praises.

AVOT (Fathers)—Blessed are you Yeshua, our God and the God of our forefathers, God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, the great, mighty, and awesome God, the supreme God, who bestow, beneficial kindness and creates everything.  Who recalls the kindness of the Patriarchs and bring a Redeemer to their children’s children, for His Name Sake, with love.

O King, Helper, Savior, and Shield.  Blessed are you Yeshua, the Shield of Abraham.

GOD’S MIGHT—You are eternally mighty, my Lord, the resuscitator of the dead are You; abundantly able to Save.  Who sustains the living with kindness, resuscitates the dead with abundant mercy, supports the fallen, heals the sick, releases the confined, and maintains His faith to those asleep in the dust.  Who is like You, O Master of mighty deeds, and who is comparable to You, O King Who causes death and restores life and makes salvation sprout!

HOLINESS OF GOD’S NAME—You are holy and Your Name is Holy, and the Holy Ones Praise You every day, forever, for You are God, the great and Holy King.  Blessed are You, Yeshua, the Holy God.  We will sanctify you and revere You according to the pleasant words of the Seraphim (angels) who three times recite, ‘Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD God, Master of Legions, the whole world is filled with Your Glory.  Blessed is the Glory of Jesus from His Place.  From Your Place O Master and King You will appear and reign over us.  You will come and catch us away to meet you in the air.  We look for you and await your soon coming!

HOLINESS OF THE DAY—Our God and the God of our forefathers, may you be pleased now with our rest in You.  Sanctify us with your commandments and grant us our share in your word. Teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts to Your wisdom.  Satisfy us with your goodness for it is written, “You satisfy the desire of every living soul.”  Gladden our souls with your Salvation for today is the day of Salvation. Today if we do not harden our hearts because of unbelief, but place our hope and trust in your word, let us therefore enter into your rest.  Let us take hold of your promises and see them come to pass.  Purify our hearts of double mindedness, pride, lust, covetousness, idolatry, and presumptuous sin.  Cleanse our hearts of the seven things that you hate, A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked imaginations, feet that are swift in running into mischief, a false witness that speaks lies, and he that soweth discord among the brethren.   Create in us a clean heart that we may serve you.

THANKSGIVING—We gratefully thank you, for it is you who is Jesus, our God and the God of our forefathers for all eternity; our Rock, the Rock of our lives, Shield of our Salvation are You from generation to generation.  We shall thank You and Praise You for our lives which are committed to Your power and for our souls that are entrusted to You; for Your miracles that are with us every day; and for Your wonders and favors in every season—evening, morning, and afternoon.  The Beneficent One, for Your compassions are never exhausted, and the Compassionate One, for Your kindness never ends—for we always put our hope in You.  For all these, may Your Name be blessed, exulted and extolled, our King, continually Forever and Ever.

Everything alive will gratefully acknowledge You, Selah!  And greatly bless and praise Your great Name sincerely, forever, for it is good.  O God of our Salvation and Help, the Beneficent God.  Blessed are You Jesus, Your Name is “The Beneficent One’ and to You it is fitting to give thanks!

PEACE—Establish peace, goodness, blessing, life, graciousness, kindness, and compassion upon us and upon all your people in America and Israel.  Bless us, O Father, all of us as one, with the light of your countenance. Jesus You have given us your Spirit and Your Word even Your Word of Life.   You have given us a love of kindness, righteousness, compassion, blessing, life and peace.  And may it be good in your eyes to bless us and your people in America and Israel, every season and every hour with Peace.   Pray Psalm 91

May the expression of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your Sight, O Lord my God and Savior.

My God and My LORD, guard my tongue from evil.  Put a watch over my mouth and guard the door of my lips.  May I speak only Your Words and that which you place upon my lips to speak.  Keep me this day from speaking slander, gossip, or words of unbelief.   Keep my lips from cursing and cause them to speak forth blessing.  Guard my lips from speaking deceitfully.  To those who curse me, let my soul be silent; and let my soul be like dust to everyone. Open my heart to Your Word, and then my soul will pursue Your commandments.  As for all those who oppose and who design evil against me, speedily nullify their counsel and disrupt their design.  May it be your will, Jesus, my God and the God of my forefathers, that human jealousy may not rise against; me, nor my jealousy upon others; may I refrain from anger, and may I not anger You.  Rescue me from temptation and lead me not into Evil.  For it is written, “with every temptation you will make a way of escape.”  Grant me the grace I need to “submit to You and resist the Devil in my mind and in my heart.”  Open up my eyes to see evil afar off and grant me the courage to turn away my foot and hide myself.  Grant me a discerning heart to discern your will and those things and people that oppose your will in my life. Place in my heart submissiveness and humility.  O our King and our God, cause Your Name to be unified in Your world; rebuild Your City, lay the foundation of your house in the heart of every man, perfect Your Sanctuary, gather in the backsliders and the exiled, redeem Your sheep, and gladden Your congregation.  Act for Your Name’s sake; act for Your sanctity’s sake.  That Your beloved ones may be given rest; let Your right hand save, and respond to me.  May the expressions of the mouth and the thoughts of my heart find favor before You, Jesus, my Rock and my Redeemer.  He who makes peace in His heights, may He make peace upon us, and upon all America and Israel.  Amen.
