Division of Prayer Development

Prayer and fasting are the keys to the fulfillment of G-d's will in the earth. They are the keys to the manifestation of his wisdom and power. Prayer is not just an occasional act within the Jewish or Christian communities, but it is a lifestyle.

In these series of teachings we are going to learn how to turn a congregation into a "House of Prayer" through lifestyle change and effective fervent pray into new dimension and levels of relationship with G-d.

Israel and Prayer:

During this sessions we will look at Morning Prayer, The role of the Priesthood and prayer, and how to pray for Israel.


The Amidah

'Amidah' in Hebrew basically means, 'to stand.'

'The Amidah' is 'the standing prayer' and it is also known as the 'Shemonei Esrei' meaning, 'the Eighteen Blessings.' It is the central structure of Jewish Prayer and considered to be the 'prayer of prayers' in Jewish thought.

Did you know that the 'The Amidah' is what Jesus refers to when he teaches his disciples to pray 'Our Father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name?'

Did you know that the New Covenant scripture, 'when you stand praying forgive' refers specifically to The Amidah?

The Amidah is not only recognized as the most intriguing, most mysterious of Jewish prayers, but the origins of the Amidah have puzzled students, scholars, and sages throughout history.

The Amidah: Learn the foundational principles of Jewish Prayer and their influence on New Testament scriptures on prayer.

Week 1 Explore how the 'prayer of prayers,' The Amidah evolved through thousands of years of history and tradition.

Week 2 Learn the structure of the Amidah and its connection to the Our Father Prayer and forgiveness.

Week 3 Pray prayers prayed over thousands of years during Temple times as well as during the time of both Y'shua and Shaul's (Paul's) ministries. Rabbi Gamliel, of whose feet Paul sat, was a major influence in the development of these prayers during Paul's day.

Week 4 Learn the power of blessing through the eighteen blessing that make up the Amidah. Cultivate a deep and profound insight and understanding of G-d''s Name and Holiness.
